Charlotte Barrand

Charlotte Barrand is a saxophonist, flautist, and composer based in Tāmaki Makaurau.

She studied jazz performance at The University of Auckland, gaining a Bachelor of Music Honours (with First Class Honours) as a ‘University of Auckland Postgraduate Scholar’.

During her time at university, Charlotte was awarded the Taurus Charitable Trust Postgraduate Scholarship in Music, the KBB Postgraduate Jazz Award, the KBB Woodwind Player of the Year Award, and the University of Auckland Postgraduate Honours Scholarship.

She also received multiple ‘First in Course’ awards in jazz performance, jazz composition & arranging, and jazz history.
